Lisa Bartholow

Lisa Bartholow is the flute instructor and flute choir director at Georgia College and State University, Toccoa Falls College, and Clayton State University.  She has played flute, piccolo, and baroque flute with numerous classical and popular ensembles in St. Louis, Chicago, and Atlanta ranging from chamber music to symphonic to back-up for pop artists such as Rod Stewart.  She is a regular performer with orchestras as well as a recitalist, and has appeared as a guest artist with the Chester String Quartet.  Lisa is a founding member of the Peachtree Consort, an Atlanta-based woodwind quintet and recently gave performances on a tour of South Carolina featuring the works of South Carolinian African-American composers. She earned her Bachelor of Music as a student of Jacob Berg at the St. Louis Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music as a student of Donald Peck at DePaul University.  She also studied with Bonita Boyd, Michael Parloff, and Kathryn Lukas.

Cathy Hancock Hicks

Cathy Hancock Hicks grew up in Atlanta and received her Bachelor of Music Education, Master of Fine Arts, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees, from the University of Georgia. Dr. Hicks taught in the public school system of Georgia for 17 years, served as an adjunct professor at Georgia College and State University, Piedmont College, Toccoa Falls College, and Athens Tech and a visiting professor at Anderson University in Anderson, SC. She has performed with the DeKalb Symphony, the DeKalb Wind Ensemble, the Atlanta Flute Ensemble, the Athens Symphony, the Anderson Symphony, and the National Flute Choir.  She is currently a member of the Athens Flute Choir, the Classic City Band, and the Redcoat Alumni Pep Band.

Carol Horne
Carol Horne has played in flute choirs whenever possible since the 1980's. Her Bachelor of Music degree was comprehensive and good preparation in all areas of music (and life) except for conducting. Experience in conducting came from teaching instrumental music at middle and high school level, during which time she had one composition for band performed. She enjoys arranging for flute trio, and hopes eventually to arrange for flute choir.
